Editing

I’ve honed my wordsmith skills through years of copy editing, mostly at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I’ve edited local and national news, politics, business, travel, arts and food stories. I was a go-to person on the desk when my colleagues had grammatical questions.  I can double-check percentages — not all journalists fear math!

I copy-edited several prize-winning projects, including the “One in a Billion” series that won a Pulitzer Prize. The “Deadly Delays” series led to changes in the program testing newborns for life-threatening conditions. I even was part of a winning corporate spelling bee team.

I took a buyout when a new owner came in and now work with various editing clients, both print and online.
